Like one of M Ward's best albums...only with more warmth and personality (...but a less distinctive voice).

Despite some corny lyrics, not a lot of memorability and the unattractive heartland rock of "Rock Bottom", Kevin Morby ultimately succeeds in crafting a warm, honest and in some occasions wonderfully detailed indie folk record that made me smile quite a few times (especially in the first half).

//why?: basic nice neo-psych record to chill to, nothing much though.

Surely, it feels almost the same throughout the whole 45 minutes, but it indeed feels alright, although I'd love to see more experimentation on an LP like this, since it's quiet easy to just get forgettable folky / country material and row with it's fine, but nothing happens, your boat is in the air, floating!
