The arts desk review is delightfully stupid, I live for it haha.
1) this album is not meant for dancefloor. The comparison wasn't the point but the deliver is so tacky.
2) she was never very spirited hippy, at best coatchella girl with the flowers at the begininning of the career haha
3) first, how is being "kate bushesque" is a default ? Second, for the record, "ceremonials" is more kate bushesque π.
4) the covid line is bad taste. If you feel that she lacks inspiration, don't say "oh lockdown was bad for her because she lost spark. Maybe it's because she was so recluse ?". Nah, nah ...
5) a little proggy, a little folky, quintessentialy british ... how is it a weakness or bad ?
haven't heard anything from florence before this but all the singles have been fantastic (esPECIALLY King) so i'm really excited to see how this turns out
Love the cover. Didn’t love the title at first, but now that I understand it’s a reference to a renaissance phenomenon of the same name it makes more sense
