... read more
... read more
'Dance Fever' is a project with feeling and rhythm, which reflects the band's state of mind and the desire to change and find new ways of making art without losing their essence.
The album starts with the excellent "King" which has the production of Jack Antonoff who manages to work perfectly with Florence + The Machine to convey a song that elevates the band's potential. One of the phrases that most impacted me during the entire album was "the very thing you're best at is the ... read more
Before the album came out, the single King completely blew me away, but unfortunately, the rest of the record can't quite follow in its footsteps. It's still a rather wonderful art-pop project but I was expecting more. I don't quite see the need for so many interludes and many of the middle tracks feel a bit weak such as Back in Town or The Bomb. I will most certainly return to the peaks of this album but I don't see myself returning to this record as a ... read more
Florence + The Machine return with yet another great record continuing their impressive streak. Following a more poetic, sentimental and spiritual listen, Dance Fever is as emotional charged as Florence + The Machine has ever been and with some impressive stand out tracks like King and My Love, this record is well rounded and well produced for a lush but yet heavy album.

Toda a produção do "Dance Fever" é deslumbrante, é perfeito. A forma como a Florence conduz o álbum é fluída, intensa e eletrizante. é tudo muito ... read more
I feel like this is more of a sway album
This is very solid. As a first full listen from Florence this was not a disappointment at all. Outside of that it doesn’t completely blow me away, but it’s still a very good record. The singing is great, production is lush, and everything blends together very nicely. King is a great opener. Has a lot of power as it keeps going. My Love has got to be one of the most impressive and catchy tracks on here. Super nice on the ears. Girls Against ... read more
Dream Girl Evil is such an Weeknd track mixed with kinda rock sound while having a little bit of GNR sound and I love it.
Otherwise like the album, it is diverse... I guess thats it
This is arguably Florence + The Machine's most creative album yet and it achieves this without sacrificing the band's usual commercial appeal. The singles didn't blow me away originally but have all grown on me a lot ('My Love' is this album's big catchy banger) and there are also some impressive deeper cuts that show off Florence's reliably strong voice and Jack Antonoff's solid production. This is another great album in one of the most consistent discographies in modern music.

“Dance Fever” is probably the most experimental record by Florence + The Machine to date, with many artpop aspects, rock elements and her voice sounding beautiful and better than ever which is, for me, the highlight from this project Lyrically it also doesn’t disappoints, where the singer explores her challenges, religion and love in a very solid structure.

"Dance Fever" is a breathtaking album from the majestic opening tracks to the raw ballads that close this beautiful trajectory. The lyrical content as always borders on perfection and the instrumentations are not far behind, they're as good as the vocalist's aggressive vocals. Welch brings their entire career to the game, while sifts through the best elements of each project: the natural and historic sounds of "Lungs", the gospel and gothic vibes of "Ceremonials", ... read more
Florence and the Machine return with a grandeur and poetic album that addresses the harrowing effects of the pandemic through the ancient myths and melodies. ๐๐ข๐ฏ๐ค๐ฆ ๐๐ฆ๐ท๐ฆ๐ณ is more feral, cathartic, and at times frightening than anything they’ve ever done before, delivered by Welch’s clear and spine-chilling voice, and the writing is among the finest and most heart-rending.
Full review coming soon.
The poignant songwriting of their last two albums, with the upbeat alt-rock sound of their first two, while perserving one constant: Florence's insane vocal talent. Listening to this, I feel like I am having my cake and eating it too, and it feels really fucking good. The band did not need to spoil us with such a maticulously-crafted collection of songs that accentuate both their baroque vibe and their full artistic range, but they did, and the music world is now better because of it.
It's the second full album I've heard from Florence + The Machine, the first being High As Hope.
Their previous album wasn't that great (single wise), instead Dance Fever, 3 out of 4 have been wonderful, each spanning different genres, but remaining consistent in the theme of the album. “King” is the typical song of the group, with that indie or alternative sound (whatever you want to call it). “My Love”, with a nice twist to dance pop, but without losing the essence of ... read more
Quite nice Florance songs. Quite a usual album by her, in style of the pervious recordings. Most of the songs are dull, but singles are pretty fine.

While the process of dehumanization seems imminent, ๐๐ข๐ฏ๐ค๐ฆ ๐๐ฆ๐ท๐ฆ๐ณ has arrived, a new and angelic release from Florence + The Machine, one of my favorite bands, and that together with their greatest hits from their debut album, accompanied me during an inspiring childhood in which I always took their strange pop melodies, categorizing them as "indie" lol.
The album opens with 'King', and I can't not mention it because it really is one of the ... read more
