Charlie Hickey’s debut LP repeatedly explores the relationship between emotion and time. Lyrically: dandelion clocks, sundials, years passing and being missed, crushes, autumn, the feeling of it being nearly Christmas. A great first album from Charlie Hickey. This Phoebe Bridgers-produced record is wonderful piece of indie pop, filled with personal lyrics and amazing vocals. It's rough at moments, but cohesive and always interesting. The title track has an extremely catchy chorus that you will be singing for days after listening to it. But my personal favorite is Thirteen, a song about memories of an old friendship that feels like a punch to the gut.
