Definitely my favorite of the Sam Ray projects I’ve heard, Julia Brown’s “An Abundance of Strawberries” is alternately strange and beautiful, but usually both at once. “An Abundance of Strawberries" is primarily a soft, introspective work, and much more digestible than some of the more aggressively sad Sam Ray bands.
