I am well aware of Ithaca, it’s a really artsy New York town with a nice lake view and even better if you take a short drive up to Tuaghannock Falls State Park, Which you can swim right near the waterfall but it’s usually cold but is totally worth it! Listen - this is fucking good, no doubt. It’s quite a significant step back from TLOI, tho, which sounded so amazingly fresh and raw at the time, and for me, a level above other similar acts. This record feels much more traditional in its production and delivery (which is fine!) but also kinda contradicts everything Ithaca stand for in terms of pushing metal music forward.
