I'm a sucker for Beth Gibbons voice. So dramatic, cinematic, full of expressions and inflections. Her voice adds so much to any song she is on, and in this collaborative project with Talk Talk's bassist Paul Webb, aka Rustin Man, she does what she does best. "Out of Season" is the ultimate autumnal album, it's melancholic and moody, if your favourite season is Autumn you will probably like this album. My favorite season is Winter, but Autumn comes close second, so i adore this album.

Upon first listen, I was enraptured. Now, over 16 years after its initial release, I am reacquainted, but not to the point of rapture. The beauty of this LP is found in Beth Gibbon's vox. Paul Webb of Talk Talk fame, brings a variety of supportive and necessary arty embellishments to the record providing it with the substance needed to sustain the overall artiness of the record.
