"Facelift" is a very solid debut project from Alice In Chains. It's quite a straightforward project, but it still works exceptionally well at parts.
AIC offers their classic Grunge sound here, with an element of Alternative Metal. They were always the "heaviest" Grunge band to me, and this album is the perfect example of why. A lot of these songs are Metal-esque, and god, do they go hard.
The production is very crisp here, and I absolutely love the sound of their guitar ... read more

It's time to start with a new edition of the discography diaries, the series where I go through a band/artists discography, preferably bands/artists that I haven't listened to much from yet, and give my first impressions on each individual project. Here's a decently spicy take for my dear viewers. This actually clicked. It sounds awesome and genuinely is super cool pretty much throughout the entire album. Now, I'm not saying that Dirt doesn't also do that as well, but overall, I definitely enjoyed this album more than Dirt. Not to mention this is also a debut, which gives it more points. Consistent but I don't think this is their strongest album. A lot of the songs click with me and are some of my favourites, but despite the album having similar energy throughout I can't help but not feel it for a few songs here. I think Dirt has the best lineup of tracks imo, but this album still has a strong sound to it, just not every song hits as hard or could do something different / extra.
mouthskills grunge da silva.
estou TOMADO por este gênero musical + não deveria ter demorado tanto pra ouvir alice in chains + ansioso pra ouvir o Dirt
Facelift is excellent as a debut album. Right from the first album they established many of the ideas and themes that would be present throughout their best works later on. Songs dragging on is a bit of a ... read more
