The album is a sharp, thrilling experience, and easily one of Funk's most focused works.

While retaining his sense of menace throughout Traditional Synthesizer Music, his umpteenth album as Venetian Snares, he also sounds positively refreshed and reinvigorated.

Unlike past efforts, this album is able to traverse from one end of the spectrum to the other without over-stepping the bounds of tolerability, be it of either tranquillity or squeamishness.

A different approach, in comparison to his earlier works, but still a great record. The fact it was recorded live using mostly analog equipment is also amazing.
