CRITIC REVIEWS

Clash
Consistently recoiling in a pincer movement, the album enjoys the intense preparation for a good clean kill under a full moon, as well as embracing a fear factor where head rules heart, and vice versa.

PopMatters
Ital Tek has made a nearly perfect album, wherein each note and beat contains an intimate history of Alan Myson’s decade-long artistic development.

XLR8R

There's a cohesiveness here hard to miss, an emotionally-charged aura and elegantly precise feel that runs from Hollowed's surging opening notes to its final, poignant fade.

AllMusic

Hollowed is a dark, sometimes devastating album that finds Ital Tek letting go of his previous methods of composition, resulting in his most personal, accomplished work yet.

Resident Advisor

As the realised aspirations of Myson's inner-teen, Hollowed is startlingly articulate and mature.

Haunting and atmospheric. The soundtrack to an abandoned space ship stranded somewhere in deep space. The only ounces of melody and energy delivered in unsettling loops and lo fi filters.
A sonic achievement if I ever heard one.

I really adore the freezing minimal approach, but a third of the runtime is somewhat underwhelming compared to the rest of the album. First cut is my fav, it's incredibly meditative and chilling.

Alan Myson locked himself in his studio in an painful attempt to restart his musical construction, struggling with his own demons in a dark and flaming environment.
Good luck.
