The debut album of Kendrick Lamar's latest signing to his new pgLang label, Tanna Leone, is a fun albeit generic melodic trap album. A lot of these tracks are way too short to leave much of an impression. I was expecting to like it more since I liked a fair few songs on label-mate Baby Keem's album last year. I had hoped for a pgLang posse cut but there are no features on here so it looks like we will have to wait until mid-May to hear Kendrick after all.

I’ve seen a lot of people discuss how this release from Tanna Leone shows a lot of room for growth and potential.
But for me, this EP doesn’t show much of anything. Most of the ideas put on display here are rehashed from other artists.
I’m sure Tanna is capable of making music that distinguishes him from other artists but I don’t think any of that is on display on this album. Would much rather listen to Tanna’s contemporaries.
Yo I actually enjoyed this, sure it's not a game changing or super inventive record, but it's Solid all round. He's a Strong Vocalist & what I mean by that is he doesn't necessarily have a belter of a voice but he just sounds Comfortable he's not straining when he croons like a Lil Tjay or 24kGoldn. I definitely get some Kid Cudi vibes which is very exciting. He's got a lot of Potential especially when he finds his own Distinct Sound which briefly show themselves throughout the Album.
