Aimee and the Bivonas help to keep ska-punk alive and though it's a little too smooth and emo at times, the energy is undeniable. I would prefer it rougher and ragged but with margins this thin beggars can't be choosers. the hope is always that the door will be opened for listeners to discover The Selecter and The Specials and other bands at the root of this sound. since ska and ska-punk is now in perpetual and permanent "revival" it seems ridiculous to use that word now.
