Aimee and the Bivonas help to keep ska-punk alive and though it's a little too smooth and emo at times, the energy is undeniable. I would prefer it rougher and ragged but with margins this thin beggars can't be choosers. the hope is always that the door will be opened for listeners to discover The Selecter and The Specials and other bands at the root of this sound. since ska and ska-punk is now in perpetual and permanent "revival" it seems ridiculous to use that word now.

They've been a Ska favorite of mine ever since i saw them headline for a Weezer concert, and I was very excited to get into this when I saw it drop. It should go without saying that this is easily the band's strongest release yet, it may lose steam in the second half but oh god it's so good. This record has some of their best instrumentation, climaxes, vocal performances, hooks, the energy is unmatched and the album isn't just the same sound for 14 tracks there is a decent amount of variation ... read more

The Interrupters know how to make crowd chanting, soul lifting Punk music and this album does not miss a beat. "Anything Was Better" is an instant crowd pleaser and a perfect album opener. I wasn't fond of "In The Mirror" when it dropped in April but it's an absolute grower, a total banger, and I can't believe I doubted it. "Kiss The Ground" brought a completely different, slower Reggae vibe and is placed perfectly. "Jailbird" picks it right back up from ... read more

Good vocals and energy, sometimes felt a bit repetetive but didnt get in the way of enjoying the album. First 3 tracks were favourites for me.

I almost never rate an album above the 90 but Jesus this album is a pure gem and the voice of the singer is for a pure mix of some of the most beautiful voices from female singers such as Pink, Miley and Regina Spector.

Though "In the Wild" offers an interesting take in ska punk, with interesting vocals and fun sounds, their sound rarely fluctuates far and the lyrics can arise corny

Fairly solid SKA punk rock record. The instrumentals here are pretty good with the nearly every instrument in ska punk being used at some point. This gave the record a nice diverse sound from the use of horns to rock organs. The lyrics feel painfully average and kept me from being engaged to the record more. I think the performances were good throughout the LP, however the lyrics and song topics brought the whole thing down for me. It's nothing incredible or original but a solid ska punk record ... read more
