If The Loser ends up anything like as quickly forgotten or as stifling to the once-open questions orbiting its parent band’s mythological potential, then whatever purchase on history it does find is going to owe an uncomfortable amount to the legend of everything we already knew about Gospel.

A little monotonous in sound, but this band still kicks just as much ass as they did back in the 00s. Love the inclusions of organ and brilliant structuring throughout the tunes here. These guys remind me of my own music way more than most bands do

Honestly, this combination should have been flawless. It felt like a true punk jazz record and it really went out there at times. I'll go back to their debut and see if I really enjoy that more.
