Hypnos has numerous highlights, but it works best as a straight-through listen, especially considering the way it's glued together with a few spoken interludes and similarities between some of the beats and melodies, lending a sense of continuity. Effortlessly cool and emotionally resonant, the stunning Hypnos takes Lenae's craft to a higher plane.

Whoa… she’s absolutely insane for this. Already on her debut album, Ravyn Lenae proves that she’s one of the best artists modern R&B has to offer. HYPNOS has this strong 90s aura that reminds me a lot of Brandy's work (more specifically Never Say Never), but with a modern twist given by its lo-fi and neo-soul aesthetics. Espero muito ver o que ela pode nos entregar daqui uns anos. Arrisco dizer que o seu potencial deverá ecoar ainda mais nos próximos projetos. HYPNOS é tão bem feitinho, viciante e com alguns destaques extremamente ricos, ela definitivamente sabe o que está fazendo e isso me enche de orgulho.

A superb R&B album that I somehow missed last year, and this is one of the better albums of last year. Amazing production and heavenly vocals all throughout.
