if he gets prosecuted for this outlandishly bizarre charge, he’ll not only get LIFE IN PRISON, but he’ll end up having his lyrics used as evidence against him. lyrics don’t correlate to confessions, they correlate to the art, there is no connection. his lyrics are what gets him famous, so to take that, with no correlation, and use it as evidence to lock him up is as racist as it can get. on top of that, if he ends up getting prosecuted, it’ll affect other rappers from Atlanta such as Lil Baby, Playboi Carti, and 21 Savage. this will turn into one of the most unfair injustices against musicians by saying basically “you can’t express yourself and if you do, you go to jail.” . clearly, our justice system hates seeing successful black men.
he shouldn’t be in custody, YSL is not a gang it was never a gang, it’s a label that has provided countless jobs to people that needed one. the fed are only treating it as a gang because rappers who are apart of YSL have a criminal past. so if INDIVIDUAL rappers are associated with criminal activity, why not prosecute those individuals? no, the feds need to label YSL for whatever reason and treat Thug as the kingpin of the operation even though THERE’S NO FUCKING OPERATION. having Thug locked up on a RICO charge is bullshit as there’s no hard evidence circulating around his benefit from crimes is associates committed, they’re just loosely correlating it because he’s a successful rapper.
