Simply put, Cave World is a brilliantly fun album and the perfect soundtrack to a world coming out of massive two year hangover. It’s a record that will surely see Viagra Boys take their growing status to fully-deserved new levels.
Cave World, their third, is by some measure their most adventurous.
Cave World is Viagra Boys’ best album yet. Welfare Jazz felt like a conscious attempt to push their own boundaries, and thus thus, its experiments stuck out like sore thumbs.
That all of this strangeness is carried aloft on a smorgasbord of varying musical styles makes Cave World all the more alluring.
The Swedish punks lift up the rock that is humanity to shed light on what lurks beneath.
