The Line of Best Fit

It’s an album that coheres more effectively than did the first, and it’s one that shows an adventurousness while staying within sight of the elemental spirit of its inspiration.

Entertainment Weekly

The three-piece group are still serving up the same piano jaunts you’d likely play on sticky summer nights and long drives through the mountains.

For the most part, Cleopatra creates a slow drift, manifest in a sound that’s far too elusive for immediate gratification.

The best are the lyrics, each track has its own story and it’s fascinating to hear with Schultz’s heartfelt and sometimes monotone, but recognizable, vocals. The production it’s so catchy and beautiful, it tends to be slow and warm, however, it manages to bring strong tunes. My only complain would be that it tries so hard to be cohesive, that it ends up being redundant at some points, even ... read more
