Gentle jams
Wow. This is a powerful album. This is an album I went into not knowing much about Sparklehorse. With the first 5 songs of this album, I was floored. Piano Fire is easily the best song here for me. I originally thought that I hadn’t heard any other song from Sparklehorse, but it turns out I have heard Piano Fire sometime in the past. Although, i do find It's A Wonderful Life quite a front half heavy record where the second half is still emotional grand and their are some under appreciated tracks within them, the power of this record easily comes from the first 7 tracks being amazing from PJ Harvey being an amazing feature and some heart felt and depressing lyrics of Mark which hit you like a truck.
