Gentle jams
Wow. This is a powerful album. This is an album I went into not knowing much about Sparklehorse. With the first 5 songs of this album, I was floored. Piano Fire is easily the best song here for me. I originally thought that I hadn’t heard any other song from Sparklehorse, but it turns out I have heard Piano Fire sometime in the past. This record has this pillowyness that is so infectious it keeps bringing me back. Even the more boisterous tracks are coated in this melancholic warmth that is so distinct. It isn’t perfect but this is definitely a special little album
