AllMusic
Jones covers a lot of musical ground on this album, and it's all of high quality, confirming his place as one of the top-tier American Primitive guitarists.

Jones is perhaps our most emotive guitarist, and the bittersweet sense of time passing, of lives gone and lives still being lived, runs through this record.

Specializing in the dying genre known as American Primitivism, Glenn Jones' latest effort offers a pleasant collection of finger-picked, guitar compositions specifically made to be appreciated in the deep wilderness. Though it isn't anything groundbreaking in the slightest, it's still a likeable output that rightfully pays respect to pioneers such as John Fahey and Robbie Basho.
