For a last LP, Noisia coulda pulled off better. Whereas Atom and Edges were chock-full of "the fuck?" tracks, Closer feels more like their shy, straightedge cousin. The songs here are well-behaved, immaculately trimmed, buildup-drop-buildup-2nd drop rollers. We do get a taste of that acidic Noisia experimentalism (mainly in the double-double bill Scrapped/Shutters and Horizon/Supersonic), but it's a rationed delicacy where it once was generously dished out.
