This is a near flawless record sounding both contemporary yet grounded by timeless themes we all can’t but love to relate to.

Loud and Quiet

You can take solace from these songs, letting your worries float off like flesh from your bones as you sink into their embrace.


A couple decent singles excepted, Control includes all of the tracks that preceded it, which date back to late 2013, but it's a steady, uniform set, all subtle yet stimulating ballads and downtempo grooves.

Rosie Lowe's Control is between boring and beautiful. It's cohesive in all of its 11 tracks, but some of them feel redundant at some points, especially in the vocals, which are rich in emotion but tend to be tedious, it kinda reminds me of Lana Del Rey. However, the production is pretty great and fuses enough R&B and pop elements to stand out.
