Punctual's debut project on Monstercat has left a lot to be desired, yet little to be changed. The EP is very commercial-focused with hits of both electropop and slap house in the hopes to hit the streaming charts. So while I understand the purpose behind the project, I feel little to no real connection with the music as it seemingly drowns itself out of focus. This just exists.

Out of all the EPs that have released on Monstercat this year, this is probably as middle of the road as it gets. Punctual's Monstercat debut project "Maze" is probably the closest we've ever been to Spinin Records quality of House. Nothing here is really creative in any way (one of the songs being a blatant copy of Bronski Beat's "Smalltown Boy" doesn't help whatsoever) but at the same time none of it is really BAD per se...just kinda bland and uninteresting.
