New music was always going to be a risk, but ‘Foundations Of Decay’ never sounds bogged down with legacy. Across the track, there’s fire, urgency and plenty of joy as My Chemical Romance return in fine, fearless form.

I like that it sounds different. The overblown compression feels overwhelming, and intentional. It shows Gerard growing as an artist too with some really great writing, and the song stands out from anything else they have done. Left a decent impact. Good stuff, excited to hear the record.

I like this song a little more each time I listen to it. Sounds very different from any other MCR track, yet still feels like MCR. Most importantly, it gets me extremely excited for potential new music from them. Very solid.
