It takes a few listens to unravel the magic of this one. It's long and doesn't stray too far from its atmospheric boundaries. But there has always been something to albums that fully commit to their aesthetics. As songs go on and settle into a state of normalcy, the album becomes a world unto itself and very few can ever pull that off without veering into redundancy, let alone an 80s pop band. This is utterly masterful.
