Not sure what the whole “it’s great to see these songs finally on streaming” argument is all about. A good chunk of these were already on streaming before he passed. Now they’re just on streaming multiple times. If he put a song on streaming, he wanted it on streaming. If he didn’t put a song on streaming, he didn’t care to have it there. His team should not have made this, period
they're calling it "look at me: the album" and using it to promote a documentary, while holding his publicly available mixtape material and unreleased cuts hostage
you're not defending x, you're defending the estate and the label
This really isn't a cash grab at all, it is normal and ethical for labels to put up compilations of artist's greatest hits, even posthumously. This features most of his fan's favorites and puts on streaming some classic songs which weren't there previously. Just because his label is trash, doesn't mean everything that they do is automatically a "cash grab"
the disrespect smh. Some of these songs are Classic Soundcloud songs period. Essential to X's come up. Youse should be grateful they've been put on streaming
seems like theyre taking a page from mac millers team by actually doing something good and releasing things previously unavaliable, but even then theyre still fucking it up atrociously.
while it is nice to have certain songs here finally on streaming, they repackaged it with things that are literally already here on streaming, and packaging it as a fucking soundtrack for a doc instead of what it is, a compilation album.
even then this is missing integral soundcloud era X tracks, like lets pretend were numb, news / flock, youre thinking too much stop it and way more
jesus christ this is still in no way redemption for how hard theyve defiled his grave
i literally dont even like x at all either, its more that this is exactly what NOT to do
i'm glad SippinTeaInYoHood & ISTTDIMHSEWBF are coming to streaming some of my favourite soundcloud X songs. Wish Freddy v Jason made it here tho that's my favourite one.
Can't wait to see the user score for this go to single digits...
Fr tho, they're at the point where they've dug up his grave and sold off each and every part of him
the songs aren't really bad i know it'll get super bad reviews but i like these imma try to judge it like an album or i guess compilation basically. Even though i hate the label i like that these songs are on streaming now especially i talk to the devil and vice city
