A fun transition for Brand New, Daisy holds on to some of the dread that was set through The Devil and God are Raging Inside Me but feels like a completely different dark beast. Where that album was brooding and haunting, Daisy has more vibrant elements and raucous noise. If their third album was an image of depression, Daisy was the counter-image of mania.

Harder to fit in as a traditional emo album, Daisy sounds more similar to a post-hardcore Modest Mouse than it does something resembling ... read more
If there’s one thing I want from an album, it’s a pleasant surprise, and this album definitely delivered on that front.

The first track on here, Vices, starts off with a sample from some old song, and while I wasn’t expecting that, it wasn’t that much of a surprise. Completely different than the rest of their catalog and it's very good thing because the changes are very pleasant when you make them great and here it certainly was. Brand New is slowly starting to be my favorite band ever lol
This is just overall an amazing Emo Rock record.
Brand New's experimentation on this record is very nice, hit after hit of these amazing experimental noises and just straight forward Emo Rock songs. Not only that but this album has one of my favorite album closers of all time.

Very raw, very angry, very sad, and a very powerful album, decent 9/10
