‘Cub’ sounds more the work of a wizened troubadour than a twenty-something’s debut album.
Overall, Cub is an impressive debut from an artist who has surpassed all expectations.

This is some solid indie rock! It’s nothing absolutely insane for the genre but these peeps have some great production and performances. Also Leader of the Pack is sooo fucking catchy like I’m surprised that song hasn’t blown up tbh. That riff is caresses my eardrums in a lovely way lmao. Also Teal and Girl Behind the Glass are solid tracks. If you wanna groove and enjoy some catchy hooks I recommend this one

Although not reinventing the wheel, Wunderhorse's debut album "Cub" remains a solid effort. Its vintage indie rock / slowcore sound is a plus and from now on, I'll be waiting for more.
Wunderhorse’s debut album delivers a compelling and diverse selection of edgy indie rock songs, propelling the band’s career to a strong start. The fuzzy, slightly messy production complements their alternative aesthetic well, and alongside Jacob’s vocal versatility, ‘Cub’ really surpasses all expectations.
