i myself am more of a fan of the baroque period

So.. here I am, third review for this absolute powerhouse of an album. Why? Because it's fun, it's uplifting, and it deserves a track by track of all 16 songs. This is one of my longest reviews so far, so thank you if you take the time to read through all of my information on the album! Beyonce's bold voice and presence is what makes her such a standout voice for me. I feel like House music undermines what makes her work, and instead shallows her out into oblivion on most of these tracks. The best tracks for me have strong beats and hard hitting energy. When it isn't delivering that, I feel underwhelmed. The Queen is not at the top of her game here unfortunately.

Edit: Almost a month later and this album has grown on me so much. I already thought it was great, but now I have it about even with Lemonade. So good.

Yeah, like with JID's record, this somehow fell of my rotation even then this is one of the best house/ dance pop record i have ever listen. Beyoncé's new album is a mix of cool ideas and good performance potential. But on the other hand, Beyoncé doesn't stand out for me with her voice or anything that would make this album more passionate. The production is pretty basic too and doesn't really fit with Beyoncé voice.

Least fav tracks : MOVE

Technically is the best album of the year. I start listening and was like “oh, good, it’s dolby atmos”, but is not. The mixing is insane, and what she did with the voice is just crazy, have so much power.
