I think people are just gonna be angry this isn't gonna be a prog-rock like album.

I have not listened to the Mars Volta before and the singles for this I've heard is a stark departure from their usual sound.

I like all three singles... I think Cedric sounds great, I was surprised (annoyed) to see people complaining about his vocals on reddit. He sounds super clear and legible to me, which hasn't always been the case. I'm used to aoty people hating on long time bands, I just wish people wouldn't make what ultimately works out to self fulfilling prophesies. Keep an open mind.

Give me shit this is going to be their worst album on arrival. The decline from Blacklight Shine is funny and very disappointing st the same time

The singles are legit the least impressive stuff they put out there, and they were some sort of King Crimson of the 00s, I'm quite scared, idk why they call this more basic version of themselves as a self-titled, I have been a bit disappointed by the singles, luckily I have been a fan of this band for the past few years, I wonder what older fans are thinking rn.

Someone leaked a tidbit of it from the LA experience, definitely has that salsa like feel, Cedrics vocals are a mix of Noctourniquet (with less filters) and Octahedron due to the lighter delivery and harmonies. No idea who'll be on drums or bass
