Dork
As an uplifting product of his solo labour, ’People In Motion’ becomes a concentrated beckoning, asking listeners to let go of resentment and trust that things will work out – something that Sloan has finally started to do himself, too.

The Line of Best Fit

Consistent to a fault, the music on People in Motion has the edgeless optimism of a vitamin advert.

This is Dayglow's most focused, consistent, straight to the point no bullshit album so far. It sounds good, makes me feel good (which is his goal, after all), and all of the songs are just nice to listen to.

Been a Dayglow fan with my friend at the start of the pandemic and this might be my favorite project of his. I love how groovy this albums production is with his improved singing from Harmony House as he delivers in each song. My problem beforehand is that you can tell which songs he was banking on and which he couldn't manage to make as the same quality as his hits. In b4 haters call it mid: This is 35 minutes of distilled musical joy and I fucking love it. Probably his weakest project but not by much - plus Harmony House was a grower and I'm sure this will be the same.

Favourites: Second Nature, Deep End, Then It All Goes Away, Talking To Light
Least Favourites: How Do You Know?

Overall an enjoyable listen, but nowhere near at the level of his previous album. Tracks kind of blend into each other a bit too much this time around with the singles heavily out-shining the rest.

Second Nature (10/10) banger opener
Radio (7.5/10) it's okay I guess
Then It All Goes Away (10/10) there's a reason that this was the lead single
Deep End (7/10) Love the falsetto in the chorus, but the rest of the song is meh
Stops Making Sense (6.5/10) beh
How You Do Know (8/10) solid peppy tune
Someone Else (7/10) chorus is okay
Like She Does (8/10) same problem as Deep End, but its cuter
Turn Around (7/10) meh
Talking to Light (9/10) cute song
