Everyone gangster until the quirked up white boy makes some absolute bangers.

Most cocksure nerdy white boy since Kevin Parker. That’s not an insult.

i’m probably gonna get dragged for this comparison but fuck it:
Djo’s production is what AJR thinks they sound like

ik that’s pretty insulting to Joe Keery but honestly there’s massive parallels in their music. anyways this album feels more of an album, yk? like Twenty Twenty sounds like an album too, but DECIDE has a better listening experience. it feels better blended and polished. he did good on this

Damn the Stranger Things dude knows how to make some bangers

Going into this I honestly had no clue what to expect, but damnnn there is some good shit on this record. There’s a lot to like here, and I think this sort of style just sits right with me. First thing I want to mention is the production because holy mother of fuck it’s good. Like BRUh. There’s so much creativity with how everything is mixed, and it feels super consistent throughout the whole record. Second, the ... read more

After listening to this, I have to ask the burning question: Why does this unequivocally fuck? Why is the production so good?

Joe Keery, while I don’t really care for his acting career, actually makes solid psych-pop music. Production is sharp, grooves are front and center, and synths are blaring left and right. It feels like a blast from the past along with some futuristic instrumentation that just makes me… wanna bounce across the walls. I will say there are some duds on this ... read more

I've been listening to this for the last few days, and this is really good. Every now and then I need a good synthpop fix, and Joe Keery is unexpectedly fulfilling my need for that. This project oozes of creative and varied production, catchy melodies, and some of the grooviest bass I've heard this year.

It's really nothing mind-blowing, but it is just a really strong batch of tracks for an appropriate 36min runtime. It doesn't overstay its welcome, nor does it feel like it's way too short. ... read more

It's really plain and run-of-the-mill synth pop, there's some moments that are exciting but even the best songs never cross from being good into being great. I know the lyricism isn't the highlight of the album, but they are quite awful most of the time. Especially on the clumsy and embarrassing On and On, which awkwardly sings tired lyrics about "the algorithm", and while it seems to try to be making a statement, it really says nothing at all that hasn't already been said 1000 times ... read more

I had no idea Joe Keery made music until like yesterday, but I think he might've discovered some musical cheat code because this thing is insanely good from front to back.

Who knew fuckin' Steve would have one of my favourite albums of the year. This is fantastic man.

man, this album is a blast... don't @ me.

never thought I'd like something coming from a mainstream actor so much. it's actually one of my favorite projects of the year, the production is stupidly stellar, everything is filled to the brim with little nice details that never fail to entertain me. the lyrics are simple, but the messages are direct to the point.

Decide pretty much is a homage to every genre it sticks up to, and gees, what a good one. just bangers on bangers!

Joe Keery demonstrates his prowess once again. DECIDE has been one of my most looked forward to albums of this whole year, because of how much I enjoyed his previous works, and hot DAMN does this album do a great job of following up to the beautiful clusterfuck that was "Twenty Twenty".

It's poppy, hard hitting, and a lot more energetic than before, which is always a plus in my books. Some of the songs on here can break up the album a bit *too* much, like Climax, which suffice to say ... read more

Production is really amazing, fun vocals/flows. Overall songs on the cheesy side but it's a fun listen.

Got through half of this thing when I decided to look at the reviews. This is Joe Keery. What

I went into this album almost completely blind, and I gotta say, this is a pretty big step-up from Keery's debut. Now don't get me wrong, "Twenty Twenty" was a good album, but the project had issues of being kinda boring and repetitive with its sound after the first leg. This album however, completely switches up the style from the previous record. Instead of a Indie-Rock and Psychedelic-Rock pastiche, it's more like a Neo-Psychedelia / Synth Pop type of record.

One thing I will say ... read more

Not the biggest Steve Harrington guy, but dammit if I can't just appreciate Joe Keery's talent in so many realms of entertainment. A force to be reckoned with in "DECIDE".

I was really ready to write this off as disappointment week, two artists I love dropped duds. Then Joe Keery of Stranger Things released this vaporwave infused pop BANGER. That sentence is weird to have to type, maybe the simulation is broken but this is what that glitch sounds like. This is all over the place, it can go from sounding like Pretty Hate Machine to Hall and Oates in the same verse. I honestly feel a hard Neil influence from Lemon Demon poured all over this record and that quirky, ... read more
