On fourth studio album Demons Protected by Angels, Canadian rapper and mainstream success story NAV shows more of himself in multiple ways, co-producing the majority of the record and moving away slightly from the usual shallow materialism of his lyrics for more personal material.
Demons Protected By Angels alludes to an artist self-aware enough to acknowledge his flaws, but the passivity of his music suggests he’d rather stew in the toxicity than work through it.
I can’t get more than 5 songs without falling asleep. Most people would see that as a bad thing, but I call that a cure to insomnia.
I would say Nav is improving but I think this is him at his best. For the first time when I listen to a Nav album Im not thinking this is the worst trap album of all time. This really isnt horrific and has some redeemable qualities and is less annoying then all his other projects
The only ok tracks are the ones that have features like Lil Uzi, Travis, Don Toliver (except the one with Gunna). Nav continues to be boring and bland like usual.
