Colder Streams really and truly is a perfect Sadies record because it captures so much of what this unclassifiable rock 'n' roll outfit were (and still are) all about.

AllMusic

Anyone who manages to make music this effective and capture it for the ages has the right to swagger a bit – the Sadies created something very special here, and Dallas Good was rightly proud of this work.

Northern Transmissions
What direction The Sadies will take remains to be seen, but this record, which we are very lucky to have, is another addition to an already golden reputation.

Paste
The Toronto band's 11th studio LP is one of their best.

Uncut
The Sadies’ nebulous country-rock moves through glistening psychedelia (“Message To Belial”), gorgeous string ballads (“All The Good”) and fierce garage fuzz (“Ginger Moon”).

Mojo
Its sure-footed '60 psych, garage and country is potently rendered.

American Songwriter

The 11th release from the Toronto-based, foursome certainly contains some of The Sadies’ finest work. Colder Streams is one of the group’s most diverse sets.

Spectrum Culture
We can only guess what comes next as we mourn the passing of Dallas Good, but it's remarkable that the Sadies have made some of their best music nearly three decades into their career.

The opener leads us in past psychedelic times like a steam locomotive and the following songs are the wagons. "Message to Belial" peaks the psychedelic part followed by garage and country sounding songs and "All the Good" as kinda alt-country ballad. The further songs continue in that matter. This rich variety makes it difficult to classify The Sadies in exact one genre, whereas the whole album sounds like a "one-piece" mosaic.
