Every Soft Pink Truth album sounds totally different from the last and highlights Drew Daniel's musical genius. This one is a winding disco delight. The arrangements are lush and ever-evolving. It's sweet but not saccharine; introspective but not pretentious; dancey but not cheap. It's wonderful. It's The Soft Pink Truth!
I listened to this album yesterday when I was preparing my tax declaration. The wonderful thing is that this music helped to undergo this boring work. Thus proofs this album is suitable to listen to it withoug drawing your full attention. But also a more focussed hearing doesn't disappoint. The Soft Pink Truth provides with "Is It Going to Get Any Deeper Than This?" smooth, groovy and flowing songs and music.
