This long-awaited album was his return to pop, and in fact he combined his devotion to electronic music with the pop songs that made him famous.

Bocanada (translates to Puff) is the 2nd solo album from Argentine musician Gustavo Cerati, released in June 1999, serving as his first album after the breakup of his band Soda Stereo, which was focused more on rock music. Obviously I know who is Gustavo Cerati since I’ve heard Soda Stereo many times in my life, and it’s not a band that has interested me a lot because their overall sound is pretty null and bland to me and the only song I enjoy from them is De Música Ligera which is basically the latin american Smells Like Teen Spirit at this point xd just because it’s overplayed a lot here in Latin America and because like the Nirvana song it’s just ... read more

- este año pensé que iba a salir en mi spotify wrapped, sorprendentemente solo salió Soda Stereo, me anime a escuchar Cerati por varios amigos míos, y dios santo es un genio, no solo sus liricas parecen sacadas de poesías sino que el chabon tiene una voz muy bonita, y como maneja su instrumentación hace que se sienta tan único en la escena del rock argentino.
