The White Stripes did it again, they basically just improved everything they did up to this point. I feel this album is one of the best blends of garage-rock and blues-rock into one sound that The White Stripes, and just anyone in general, have done yet (I feel that 'De Stijl' was mainly an album with some garage-rock tracks and a lot of very classic blues-rock sounding tracks, not much fusion). Possibly the best garage rock album ever

It was either this or "Elephant" being my favorite. There'a definitely more raw and earthly elements present on this record, which sometimes may lead me to enjoy this a bit more at times. All in all, one of the best rock records ever and of the 2000's. White Stripes were simply untouchable.

I mean, its always been right up my alley. Enough noise to fill your favorite corner dive bar, or a packed 60k person arena. Country folk, garage rock, blues. Several spectacularly simple sweet songs. The sentiments are what sets it apart.

Although not as earth shattering or influential to my musical taste as Elephant, you really can't go wrong with an additional White Stripes album. This album has a little bit more of a garage rock vibe than Elephant; coming earlier in their career and perhaps not fully developing their sound at this point, but still clearly evolved and well organized.
