I finally listened to Unwound after listening to the noise about them off and on.

I love this record lol. Fantastically solid record, with awesome noise rock to boot. Can't wait to bump "All Souls Day" again and again.
An overall improvement from Fake Train, it is noisy, dissonant and raw but knows when to take it slow such as on the track Abstraktions and filled with some depressive and cryptic lyrics throughout makes this not only an improvement from the band's 1993 album but one of their better releases.

fuckin wicked
this is it!
Filled with raw, appealing, dissonance riffs, this album takes the defeated and cold guitar style of joy division and mixes it with the energetic and aggressive style of fugazi. For me, this is unwound's best album. A few weaker tracks perhaps but it also features some of their best such as entirely different matters and envelope.
