THE LAST 4 MINUTES ARE ONE OF THE BEST THINGS EVER PLAYED IN HISTORY!!!!!

Reggae, Rock, Dream Pop, Psychedelia, Contemplation, sound explosions, textures and much more. All these elements contribute to deliver a show at the minimum FENOMENAL.
It is two hours from a concert that I will take you on an unbelievable journey through the created melodies and that will deliver a conclusion that is hardly described in words.

The show starts with the track "Oh Slime", which already dictates, ... read more

If I was ever asked the question, "What are the most beautiful things about life?", one of my answers will have to be: listening to Shinji Sato's angelic and heavenly live vocals for the very first time.

This really is a special album, one that wouldn't have nearly as great of an impact if it was not recorded live or if Shinji Sato was still alive to record more studio albums with Fishmans. This live album represents a closing chapter to an iconic band's story, and the story is one ... read more

We finally did it... we found a perfect score in the Genre Quest!

I'll admit, I hadn't listened to any Fishmans before hearing this album. I was familiar with them and got a pretty general idea of their sound, but I'd never actually dived into their music before. For a long time after I listened to this, I couldn't bring myself to rate it. This album feels like the swan song of Shinji Sato, who sings his last hymns with so much hope and beauty. Emotions do transcend the language barrier, for that I feel so much joy listening to this recording. Surely, a lot of the songs (minus Long Season) follow a very similar style, but it doesn't really bore me at all. If anything, the repetitiveness reinforces the dreamy atmosphere enrobing this album.

Imagine being at this show and not knowing that this was it. This was the last time this band would ever play with their frontman. After this performance, after the curtain went down... Fishmans was over, and no one knew it or expected it, not even those in the band.

The final chapter of Fishmans is... depressing, to put it lightly. Lead singer and guitarist Shinji Sato died shortly after this performance due to heart failure. I'm sure we all know this by now, and I'm not here to tell you ... read more
