Continuing the sound from the last record, Katatonia perfect their brand of dark metal. While I still slightly prefer Last Fair Deal Gone Down, this record is essentially a continuation of that sound and there is really nothing wrong with it. Every track here is fantastic, showcasing some amazing and heartfelt performances by all. More usage of electronics for atmosphere work in every instance.

this album shows a lot of variety of katatonia post doom style which the band used to adopt in the first couple records, and it grew on me in unexpected way i think any depressed person should listen to this frigging album
