"Mezmerize" by System of a Down is the band's 4th studio album & first of 2 they'd release in 2005 before going on hiatus for a few years. Up to this point, it's probably the most consistent System of a Down album up to this point in terms of sound, a lot of fast chugging riffs with Serj Tankian & Daron Malakian both taking vocal duties almost equally. yeah this is my favorite system album.. it takes the loud verses. quiet chorus/vice versus formula popularized on toxicity and improved on it. old school hollywood and cocaine are the only bad moments

It makes me kinda sad that I didn’t enjoy this as much as I thought I would, because I really love Toxicity. However, this album didn’t do it for me, it is not bad by any means and it has its fair share of high points, but it doesn’t even touch the level of Toxicity
