Rolling Stone

On Let It Bleed, the Stones face up to the end of the Sixties, starting with the dread guitar rumble of "Gimme Shelter."

One of those records that you just simply can’t ignore. The Rolling Stones combine their most mature sound at the peak of their long-lasting and legendary career that results in what may be their greatest achievement.

Gimme Shelter and Let It Bleed were for me the best song in this album, Better than anyone here but still it’s a good 1969 masterpiece.
