The Rolling Stones 1971 album 'Sticky Fingers' is probably the bands best album, it's one of their most consistent and it's one of their most fun overall. It's known that this album is notoriously "out there" with it's lyrics (the first track in particular is pretty out there to say the least), but I'm more invested in what's happening sonically on here, as it sees the Stones experiment with their blues roots, as it's a lot more expansive and interesting in it's song structures. Certainly not the best work from the Stones but it's one of their most solid all-around projects for sure. Not a bad track to be found here tbh.

One of the All-Time Greats

Favorite Tracks: Can't You Hear Me Knocking, Dead Flowers, Bitch, Wild Horses, Brown Sugar, Sister Morphine, Sway, I Got the Blues, You Gotta Move

Least Favorite Tracks: None

Would I Recommend? Yes. As a final note, the original vinyl album cover, designed by Andy Warhol, has a real zipper and is a collector's item.

Between the end of the 60s and the start of 70s, The Rolling Stones were at the peak of their powers. I don't know yet if this is their best record but I'll be okay if that's the case. Sticky Fingers is a bold and sincere expression of tragedy, lost, addiction and love. It has a classic rock/folk sound, incluiding sax solos.
