Overall, this is the Immortal record we were waiting for. Eight really solid songs that unabashedly emulate the glory days of the band. War Against All is a must-have for any Immortal fan.

Very few bands and artists live up to their names, yet War Against All proves that Demonaz — or at least his music — is in fact immortal

At this stage in the game you know what you’re going to get from IMMORTAL and let’s face it, no one wants them to change. They’ve reigned gloriously over the kingdom of black metal for countless years and War Against All displays that they have plenty left in the tank with another top tier set of tracks crammed with masterful musicianship.

IMMORTAL have never sounded more potent or direct, and while an unexpected detour or two would have been welcome, it's undeniably satisfying to hear this seminal band take flight with such fearless abandon.

War Against All boasts riffs as catchy as anything the band has ever released, and there’s plenty of depth across the tracks.

Since “sad” isn’t a rating here, “disappointing” will have to do.
Some decent black metal. Nothing else to say... There's a few really nice melodies in here tho, but most other aspects are just awrite

Black metal legends, Immortal have been making music for over 30 years and it they aren’t one of those washed-up Metal bands, they still have their talent and its shown here.
I don’t know much about these guys but what I can about coming into this project is I never thought it would have this much good melodies. Probably Metal album of the year so far. Like Overkill these guys haven’t lost their energy. Vocals ... read more
