'Blue Is the Colour' is surely a nice album, it's mostly consistent despite having "Liar's Bar", "Artificial Flowers", and "Alone", three bland tracks that could've been cut out. The others, despite being satisfying, aren't on the same level of quality as "Don't Marry Her" and "Little Blue", the first two, which are beautifully delicate and captivating. Although the tunes are not as sparkling as they used to be, an album by The beautiful South is always amusing, despite its blue colour.
