As an EP for the band to dip their toes back into the creative process of being a band again, it’s a thrilling piece of work, a preface to their national run of live shows.

Consequence of Sound

After three marvelous albums, Wolf Parade have nothing to prove, but the fact that they want to prove something speaks volumes about their attitude towards this reunion. This is the sound of a band learning to work together again after nearly half a decade apart and finding that they aren’t as rusty as they might think.

Exclaim!

It gives the fans what they want in the form of new Wolf Parade tunes, but also puts the band back in the studio to iron out the kinks.

Pitchfork

This isn’t the sound of Wolf Parade asserting themselves. It’s Wolf Parade reintroducing themselves to each other after Spencer Krug and Dan Boeckner built massive catalogs that now makes their original band a supergroup in reverse.

Nothing is really wrong with this album, but it seemed less unique then what I expect out of this band. I found myself wanting to put on their original album the entire time I listened to this album.

Eclectic, but not without a clear display of musical talent.
