"Divisive" has enough of a modern presentation to attract newer DISTURBED fans along with those trademark sounds that should keep the band's core base with them for years to come.
Disturbed have reasserted their claim to the modern metal throne and Divisive will surely delight their existing fans, while picking up a few more along the way.
On Divisive, the band don’t step outside their comfort zone, they don’t add any new elements, they don’t push the envelope on their established formula, they’re just Disturbed.
The bad news for Disturbed fans, and unsurprising news for their detractors, is that Divisive is an average record.

I did it woohoo no more Disturbed!!!
It has a slight heaviness that has been absent since 2010, not a good heavy but it’s something i guess. It tries to be aggressive again, and…well…kinda fails, and is still extremely predictable and formulaic.
The lyrics are still kinda corny but not anywhere near as bad as the last album, that one was atrocious. It tries to focus more on aggression and seems like they were trying to make a comeback album, but it didn’t really work ... read more
Generic Disturbed music. But considering the fact that they're not drastically declining in quality, and that it's a lot better than Evolution, it's good music.
