After knowing her popular material for a while, I've finally decided to dive into Mitski's discography and I'm definitely not disappointed.
Retired From Sad is a great, unique album. Aside from its lush orchestral moments, it's relatively sparse in instrumentals, giving way to Mitski's sublime vocal and genius songwriting. Definitely a sophomore slump, Mitski's second album sounds just like a lesser version of her debut, in my opinion.

"Retired from Sad, New Career in Business" finds Mitski dealing with roughly the same themes from "Lush," but with more of an eclectic instrumentation behind her, with lots of trumpets and horns.
