I'm surprised to see that Overnight Trains is the least liked song on this record (at the time of writing), since it absolutely captivated me from the first second. This feels to me like an extremely cohesive record, where Coombes is able to explore the subtle variations of the psych-ish indie rock sound he has created. Hey I’m bopping

Okay so yeah this definitely isn’t the most insane HOLY FUCK MY MIND IS BLOWN album on the face of the planet but honestly I can appreciate it for writing some good hooks and having some solid material. I love the dudes voice a ton. I also love the production which is pretty playful at times. The songs are all distinct enough to be their own pieces but make up a really cool, psychedelic work that flows well and brings unique sonic elements to the forefront.

the vibe and atmosphere of this record is amazing. songwriting was incredible too.

Has some nice moments. Don't always feel the passion and poise that Gaz is going for in the vocal performances here but the guitar work should be applauded (no doubt inspiring the art) even if it sounds more or less the same track to track...

If you are looking for a very simple album to listen to that drowns out all the garbage thats been put out this month I highly recommend this album, it's short and sweet and has a few cool surprises on it. Definitely not going to be my favorite album of 2023 but a solid one to start the year off with

This is what most Arctic Monkey fans we're hoping for last year.

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't conflicted.

Gaz Coombes is an artist I had never heard of nor had I ever thought to check out before the release of this EP, so I went in with no expectations whatsoever. And still I somehow feel a little bit disappointed by what I got.

This thing just wasn’t very interesting at all. Sure, the songs sound nice but ultimately they feel very formulaic and very hollow.

He tries to incorporate some artsy elements into his tracks but I just find the core ideas of the songs quite dull.

Um álbum de indie rock decente. Não tem muito o que mostrar, mas também não se ausenta. This is album is a confusing one. I like it, even though it's one-note as hell, which is mostly because of the production that can get repetitive by the end. The project is literally carried by the vocals that are just phenomenal. The songwriting is alright, there are some nice hooks here and there, but without the vocals, this would be pretty average.

This is Gaz's best album yet. His voice is still in absolute top-form and the songs go from absolute soul-crushing ballads (Overnight Trains and Not the Only Things) to inspirational neo-psychedelic beauties (Turn The Car Around and Long LIve the Strange). Absolutely far and away my favourite album of the year.

This Thom Yorke x Gorillaz album is crazy. Yeah this is just some indie type brit-pop we've all heard before from our Arctic Monkey type artists. If you're into that you might love this album but ehh its just whatever. Track 5 is amazing though that's easily the best song.

this album gives off a very warm feeling almost comforting and i love it
