For someone who rages against the cynicism he see in the world around him and shows his distaste at rampant consumerism...there’s something dead eyed and manufactured about this album. The way the double M utilises every rock n roll trope in the manual is dispiriting - even if it’s done with a self knowing wink it’s purely self serving at heart.
